Studio Sessions and Workshops

An exciting chance to learn traditional approaches to drawing and painting. Instruction is catered to individual needs, so all skill levels are welcome! Be sure to check back often for updates as new courses are added.

Part - Time Painting Studio (5-week Summer Session)

July 7 - August 26 (Wed or Thurs)

10:00 am - 4:00 pm

$750 CAD (taxes in)

In the Part-Time Painting Studio, students are self-directed, working on their own projects from life (or from photographs if desired) with personalized instruction from Tim. Working in graphite, charcoal, oil, or the medium of their choice, students hone their observational skills and develop an understanding of line, composition, value, colour, form, and texture.  This part-time studio session runs for 8 weeks.

Academic Nude (Six-Week Introduction)

July 24 - August 28

9:00 am - 12:00 pm

$500 CAD (taxes in)

In this 6 - week introductory course, students will study drawing and painting the nude figure in an in-depth way. Working from life and photos with an emphasis on construction, proportion, gesture, light and shadow, we will paint one pose over the course of 6 weeks.
